Clark Moore Bechtle, 32, of Charlottesville, Va., unexpectedly passed away on December 5, 2024 after a brief illness. Clark, a native of Charlottesville, was born on February 21, 1992 to Mark Bechtle and Marianne Andrews. Clark was a graduate of Western Albemarle High School and The Citadel, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in May 2016. After graduation, Clark went on to work as a Behavioral Counselor at the Keswick School, a Regional Development Officer at Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Virginia, founded WeGrow in Scottsville, Virginia and most recently was the Director of Development at Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA). Clark married his high school sweetheart, Kelsey (McClary) Bechtle. Together they grew a beautiful homestead in Scottsville, full of life and joy through animals, plants, and of course, mushrooms. Clark was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Marianne Andrews, his maternal grandfather Stafford Andrews, and his paternal grandfather Walter Bechtle. Clark leaves behind his loving wife, Kelsey Bechtle; their furry companions Juno, Jefferson, Tucker, Ma’am, and Patches; his father, Mark Bechtle, his mothers, Marianne Andrews and Ann Gayhart; and two brothers Andrew Bechtle and Ford Bechtle. The family will host a Celebration of Clark’s Life from 1pm – 3pm on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at The Old Metropolitan Hall at 101 E Main St, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
