Cheryl Bishop Mushrush, 76, of Dorchester, widow of William Everett “Bill” Mushrush, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 7, 2021. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Palmer Hudson officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 PM in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Robert Berry, Joe Gomez, John Lucas, Stephen Podmore, Shawn Price and Robert Sageser. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Cheryl was born on July 23, 1944. in Charleston, SC, a daughter of the late Frederick Eugene and Violet Mae Holder Bishop. She was a 1961 graduate of Rivers High School, 1965 graduate of the College of Charleston and received her master’s degree from The Citadel in 1970. She was a school teacher at Hanahan Middle School and formerly served on the school board for Dorchester District #4. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and president of the United Methodist Women’s Group. She was predeceased by a grandson, Ethan Sweat Surviving two daughters, Laura (John) Ezzell, Dorchester and Jane (John) Sageser, Fort Mill; grandchildren, Justin Mushrush, Nathan Sageser, Evan Sageser, Catherine (Marty) King, Logan Ezzell and Justin Ezzell; a brother, Frederick “Freddie” Bishop, James Island. Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 157 Railway Avenue, Dorchester, SC 29437.
