Chance Chadwick Smith, age 26, of McDonough, GA passed away February 19, 2012. Chance graduated from Evans High School in Evans, GA in 2003 and from the The Citadel in Charleston, SC in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baseball, fishing, running, movies, music, traveling and playing with his 4 1/2 month old daughter. Survivors are his lovely wife, La-Aia Clayton Smith of McDonough; daughter, Laina Madison Smith of McDonough; parents, Gordie and Kay Smith of McDonough; sister, Kiley Kaytrice Smith of Augusta; grandparents, Wilmer and Audrey Bourgeois and Calvin Bernard Smith of Louisiana; several aunts, uncles and cousins. A celebration service for Chance will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.
