Bradley Lawrence Alvadj, age 49, of Navarre, Fla., passed away April 8,
2010. He was born on March 12, 1961, in Detroit. He is survived by his wife,
Susie; his son, Kevin of Fort Hood, Texas; daughter, Jules of Peachtree
City, Ga.; parents, Gordon and Mary Lou Alvadj of Niceville, Fla.;
sister, Kim Rodriguez (Joel) of Niceville; nieces, Kally Peace and Katie
Alvadj, and Kathy Jaragoski (Paul) of Suwanee, Ga.; niece, Jena; and
nephew, Jake; sister, Kelly Chamberlain (Paul) of Canton, Mass.;
nephews, Gregory and Matthew; sister-in-law, Cindy Parker of Plano,
Texas; nephews, Jason and Jeremy; brother-in-law, Steve Parker (Yvette)
of Yokosuka, Japan; nieces, Jillian and Audrey; nephew, Ian; extended
family members, Tim and Janie Stapleton; and their daughters, Ann,
Ragan, Cameron and Madison; and loving family members, Labrador
Retrievers Texas and Ranger. Brad leaves behind many special friends
including classmates from Heidelberg, Germany, brothers of the Knights
of Columbus Council 13527, co-workers at Troy campus, and alumni from
The Citadel. Brad attended The Citadel and was a member of the Summerall
Guards, an elite senior drill platoon. Upon graduation in 1983, Brad was
commissioned as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army. During his
military career Brad served in the 24th Infantry Division in Operation
Desert Storm. Brad was employed by Troy University campus as an academic
advisor. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, at Christ
Our Redeemer Catholic Church in Niceville. The family will receive
visitors beginning at 10 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 11 a.m. The
funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a reception at Christ Our
Redeemer Social Hall immediately following. Honorary pallbearers include
son, Kevin, brothers-in-law, Paul Chamberlain, Paul Jaragoski and Joel
Rodriguez, good friend, Mike Wesneski, and members of the Knights of
Columbus Council 13527. Many special thanks to the staff in the CCU at
Pensacola Baptist Hospital, and the friends and co-workers who have
