Bonnie T. Fargnoli, wife of Vincent Fargnoli, died Friday at the Hospice of Charleston Hospice Center in Mt. Pleasant after a courageous 15 year battle with cancer. She was 58. Bonnie was born April 28, 1955 a daughter of the late Ray and Cecilia Padgett Thompson. She was a graduate of the College of Charleston, and received her Master’s Degree from The Citadel. She retired after 27 years of service with the Colleton County Alcohol and Drug Commission. Bonnie loved to spend time with her family…especially at Folly Beach…and was a wonderful cook. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Christy Fargnoli, and by her son Nicholas Fargnoli (Tiffany). She has a granddaughter Kara, and a grandson Alex. Bonnie also leaves behind two sisters-in-law, Bernadine Fargnoli, and Elizabeth Nash (Billy), and a brother-in-law Anthony Fargnoli. Nieces and nephews include Felicia, Alexis, Ashley and Tony, and Bonnie’s cousins are Maline, Gloria, Bobi Lu…and John and William Padgett…whom she loved so much. Additionally, Bonnie is survived by her beloved dogs that were like her children: Rudy, Morgan, Callie, Ella and Bodie. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Bonnie’s dear friend of 33 years, Claire Hoefer. She sent a card, called, or emailed her everyday, and she was by her bedside each day for the last two weeks of her life. Also, appreciation is extended to her dear friends Joyce Hamilton and Cheryl Howard, who were always there for her, and to Dr. Elizabeth Christian and her staff for all the care they gave to her. A memorial service will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service, and in lieu of flowers, they request that memorials be made to the “Team Sara Cole” fund at SCB&T in Walterboro.
