Arthur Joseph Kurtz, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, widower of Rita Brickman Kurtz, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 27, 2022. His funeral service will be held graveside Friday, April 29, 2022, in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery (Maryville), Sycamore Avenue, at 1:00 p.m. The funeral may also be viewed via livestream atwww.youtube.com/channel/UCS9354hyODBZxj4atiDp7Ag/live. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Arthur was born October 18, 1930 in Willimantic, CT, son of the late Herman Kurtz and Gertrude Goldberg Kurtz. He graduated from the Citadel in 1951 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Arthur was the retired owner of N. Goldberg & Co. (later Scrap Metal Processors, Inc.). He is survived by his four children: Ari Michael Kurtz (Holly) of Atlanta, GA, Joel Douglas Kurtz, Dr. Lyle David Kurtz (Pam), and Amy Kurtz Goldstein (Eric), all of Los Angeles, CA; and 11 grandchildren: Missy Kurtz, Taylor Kurtz, Candice Kurtz, Amanda Kurtz, Lauren Kurtz, Samantha Kurtz, Jared Kurtz, Benjamin Goldstein, Zachary Goldstein, Shayna Kurtz, and Adi Kurtz. Arthur was predeceased by his son, Robert Neil Kurtz.
