Obituary: Scott Tucker, of Charleston, died March 7, 2019. He served in the U.S. Air Force at Mountain Home Air Force Base, Idaho. Tucker began his career as a banker for Liberty National Bank and later was owner and CEO of Charleston Commercial Resources, LLC. He was part of the founding board of the Harbor Club and served as its president. Tucker was active in the Hibernian Society and the Exchange Club. He was recently inducted into the Washington Light Infantry and served as the Stray Dogs Society's chairperson. Tucker was a Life Member and the longest serving president and board member of The Citadel Alumni Association.
One of five brothers who attended The Citadel: Class of '62, Class of '64, Class of '70, Class of '73 and Class of '79. One brother KIA in Vietnam; one is a retired Brigadier General. All five brothers served in some form. He earned his MBA and went into banking. His last position was President and CEO of Liberty National Bank. He stepped away from banking on 12/31/1985 and started his own business - a financial consulting firm known as Charleston Commercial Resources, LLC. That company continues today.
