Warren made a huge difference in the lives of his family, friends and colleagues. Born in Atlanta and a graduate of Boys High, Warren attended The Citadel and served in the U.S. Army Military Intelligence in the Pacific during World War II. An insurance broker for 61 years, he was a life member of the Million Dollar Round Table and the President’s Club and a National Life Hall of Fame recipient. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, Cherokee Town & Country Club and a life member of Capital City Club. He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Marihill Sims Bearden. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Ann Floyd Bearden and his four children and their spouses: Warren and Susie Bearden, Maribett and John Varner, Jim and Ginny Manry and William F. Manry; grandchildren: Katherine and Cammie Bearden, Mitch Ricke, Elizabeth, Kathleen and Megan Varner and Ellen Manry and great grand-daughter Natalie Ricke. Funeral will be held Tuesday, May 29th at 11 AM at St. James United Methodist Church. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Warren’s memory to St. James United Methodist Church, 4400 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA. 30342.
