Family graveside services for Philip E. Paine, 82, of Bryan and formerly of Richardson are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. The Rev. Victor Kollman of Messiah Lutheran Church will officiate. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Plano. Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Mr. Paine died Tuesday at Sherwood Health Care in Bryan. He was born in Clinton, Iowa, and lived in Bryan since March. He attended the Citadel and graduated from the University of Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an accountant for Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for many years before moving to Texas. Mr. Paine was a member of the National Association of Internal Auditors and was a competitor in the Texas Senior Olympics. He was a longtime member and elder at Messiah Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Paine of Bryan a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Elizabeth Paine of College Station a sister and brother-in-law, Martha O. and Willard Foster of Richmond, Va. and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 1801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75075.
