CULLEN, Thomas COTTAGEVILLE – Mr. Thomas Patrick Cullen, 65, of 648 Griffith Acres Drive, Cottageville, died Monday evening, March 14, 2005 at the Ralph H. Johnson Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Charleston. Funeral services will be held eleven o’clock Friday morning, March 18, 2005 in Cottageville United Methodist Church with Reverend Sandra Hatchell officiating. Interment with United States Air Force Honors will follow in Cottageville Cemetery. Mr. Cullen was born July 11, 1939 in Jersey City, New Jersey and was a son of Helen Nosal Cullen and the late Joseph Cullen. He was a retired attorney, having established a private practice, and was an attorney for the ICC in Washington, DC. He served his country in the United States Air Force and had worked for the Federal Government. He was a graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1961, and was a member of the South Carolina Bar Association. Thomas Cullen left many memories for us to cherish about his life. He took extra steps in life to help underprivileged children and in many cases in private practice took on pro bono cases to help his fellow man. He will be remembered for his love of politics, walking, and the love he had for his cats. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Rony Castiglioni Cullen; his mother; three sons, John Cullen and T.P. Cullen, both of Ladson and Danny Perley of Tampa, Florida; three daughters, Donna Curry of Columbia, Tammy Collins of Conway, and Jocelyn Perley of Columbus, Ohio; a sister, Janice Donehue of Las Vegas, Nevada; and five grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or the family has suggested that memorial contributions be directed in his memory to Cottageville United Methodist Church, 44 Peirce Road, Cottageville, South Carolina 29435.
