William C. (Bill) Guier, Lt. Col., USAF, Ret., of San Marcos, CA, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010. He was born March 23, 1922 in Missouri. Bill was a graduate of the Citadel in 1943. He flew through four Wars ending with B-52’s in the Cold War. Ending his career in safety, and accident investigation at USC, and KKIA in Saudi Arabia. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joani; sons, Brian and Brent; daughter, Jodi Berkley-Gordon; and seven grandchildren. Services and a fly over will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 13 at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas. After the service everyone is encouraged to meet at the Carlsbad Palomar Airport Restaurant patio for lunch from noon to 2 p.m. A military honor guard, from March ARB, will honor Bill with a gun salute and playing of “”taps”” prior to the presentation of the flag.
