Rudolph “Jim” Schweizer, age 59, of Fenton, MI, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 in Idaho from injuries due to a motorcycle accident. He was born September 21, 1948 in Long Island, New York, the son of Rudolph and Dorothy (Rankin) Schweizer. Beloved father of Ryan of Kansas and Jamie of Texas; dear brother of Mark, Eric and Kristin Moore. Jim served as the President of the Alamo Wing of the Air Force Reserve Officers Association in San Antonio, TX. He retired as a Colonel from the United States Air Force Reserves in 1994. Jim was a prominent figure in the oil and gas industry and associated with various natural gas organizations including the Michigan Oil & Gas Association (MOGA), serving as a former Director. He was also associated with the American Association of Cost Engineers and American Society of Civil Engineers. Recently he was very active in the Kiger Mustang Horse Association and National Cow Horse Association. Currently, he served as President of Southwind Energy, LLC. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 12 at 3 p.m. (visitation from 1 to 3 p.m.) at MacDonald’s Funeral Home, Howell (517-546-2800).
