William Hudson Cantwell of Mobile, Alabama was born in Nashville, North Carolina on April 11, 1920 and passed away in his home on September 14, 2011. While attending the Citadel Military College he answered the call of duty and entered the U.S. Army on January 26, 1942. After serving in the Europe-Africa Middle East operations area, he seperated from military service on October 18, 1945 holding the rank of Master Sergeant. His later work that he enjoyed the most after the war was instructiong at the Texas A&M Fire College and sales in latest and best firefighting equipment. This gave him the means to have , love and raise a family. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Mary Wanda Cantwell; three children, Diana Anthony, Mark Dederich and Celeste Dederich; five grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchldren. A memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, September 19, 2011 at Cypress Shores Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Griffith officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Mobile National Cemetery. Tags: 1944
