William (Bill) Frampton Warren, Sr., 89, died on Dec. 23, 2014, in Niceville, Fla. He was born in Charleston, S.C. and was been a longtime resident of Valparaiso, Fla. Bill was a World War II U.S. Navy Seaman, having served in the Pacific Theater, including in the invasion of Okinawa. Most of his life he worked with Civil Service on Eglin Air Force Base before retiring with over 30 years of service. He also kept the books for many local businesses and did income taxes for many individuals over the years.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Spann Warren; and father, John Hertz Warren, Sr.; and his two siblings, John Hertz Warren, Jr., and Kathleen Warren Luhn.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Miriam O’Quinn Warren; his daughters, Ann Warren Decker, Sylvia Warren Mihalcik and Miriam Kathleen Warren; and son, William F. Warren, Jr.; as well as eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Bill loved his family and was a faithful servant of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and an active member of First Baptist Church of Niceville, Fla.
The visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, at 1 p.m., with the funeral service at 2 p.m. at FBC Niceville. Burial will follow in Sunset Cemetery in Valparaiso.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the building fund at FBC Niceville.
