Lt. Col. Warren J. “Mickey” McDonald (US Army, Ret.), of North Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of June 2, 2012, Lieutenant Colonel Warren J. “Mickey” McDonald (US Army, Retired), beloved husband of Mary Ann Altman McDonald. Residence, North Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Lt. Colonel and Mrs. Warren J. McDonald are invited to attend the funeral service of the former in Asbury – St. James United Methodist Church, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Interment, private. Lt. Colonel McDonald was born April 21, 1936 in Waltham, Massachusetts, a son of the late Warren John McDonald and Anne Guaraldi. He was a 1957 graduate of The Citadel, a member of The Citadel Brigadier Club and Alumni Association; he was also a member of Asbury – St. James United Methodist Church. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army where he served in Vietnam. He is survived by his loving wife of North Charleston, SC; three sons, Warren J. McDonald, III of Colorado Springs, CO, Michael A. McDonald and his wife, Meg of Niceville, FL and Mark A. McDonald and his wife, Sharon of Amherst, MA; 8 grandchildren, Sarah, Colin, Amber, Ben, Michael, Kelsey, Caity and Matt; one brother, Richard Going of Ashland, MA; two sisters, Eleanor Simmons of Oakham, MA and Jean Jones of North Reading, MA.
