Walton Mays Cooper, Jr., age 59, passed away on June 5, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
Walton was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, veteran, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife, Michelle; his mother, Jane; his sister, Anna (Andrew); his daughter, Teya; his son, Chandler; and his grandson, Israel. He was preceded in death by his father, Walton Mays Cooper, Sr.
Walton was born in Charleston, SC. He was a 1989 graduate of The Citadel, He proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force. Later, he pursued theological studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, reflecting his deep faith and desire to serve others.
Those who knew Walton will remember his steadfast character, his dedication to his family, and his commitment to his faith and country. He touched many lives through his kindness, wisdom, and willingness to help others.
Walton will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
