NOLAND, Walter Entered into eternal rest on the evening of July 22, 2004, Walter Peck Samuel Noland, widower of Emma Beckroge Noland. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services at the graveside in Magnolia Cemetery, Sunday, July 25, 2004 at three o clock. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Saturday between five and seven o clock. Mr. Noland was born May 30, 1916 in Charleston, SC, the son of Robert Clement Noland and Nettie Bair Noland. He was a graduate of The High School of Charleston and The Citadel. He served with the U.S. Army during W.W.II. Mr. Noland retired as a Water Waste Systems Engineer with the Charleston Commissioners of Public Works. He was a member of St. Andrew s Lutheran Church and past president of The Church Council for over eleven years and also a former member of the Church Choir. Peck served as President of The West Ashley Optimist Club and as a former Board Member of The Franke Home. He is survived by one sister: Margaret Noland of Charleston, SC; five nephews: Mark G. Kearns, Donald P. Kearns, Jr., Timothy G. Kearns, Robert R. O Neal and David G. Beckroge; three nieces: Marcia K. Moore, Elizabeth K. Litchfield and Kaye B. Goldberg. His son Walter S. Skippy Noland, Jr., predeceased him. Memorials may be made to St. Andrew s Lutheran Church, 43 Wentworth Street, Charleston, SC 29401, or Connie Maxwell Children s Home, P.O.
