Date of Death N/A 10/09/2005 Notice Newmann Sr., Walter Scott NEWMANN Lt. Col. Walter Scott Newmann, Sr., USAF (Ret.), 72, passed away on October 9, 2005 after a vigilant battle with Prostate Cancer. He was born in Pensacola, FL. Walt is survived by his wife, Linda Sharp Newmann, and her son, Joshua Andrew Sharp, and his wife, Kayla, of Orange Park, FL; his son, Walter Scott Newmann, Jr. and wife Lori, and their four children, Walter Scott Newmann, III, Jordan Elyse Newmann, Micah Caldwell Newmann, and Noah William Newmann of Duncanville, TX; his late daughter, Teresa Alaine Newmann Hendrix’s three children, Richard Alan Hendrix, Jr., Jonathan Wayne Hendrix, and Megan Bliss Hendrix, of Montalba, TX. He has two surviving sisters, Constance Newmann Howington, wife of Dr. F. Lee Howington, MD, of Ft. Meyers, FL and Catherine Newmann Barfield, wife of Dr. Jesse T. Barfield, PhD, of Slidell, LA. Also surviving him are many dear friends, classmates, and business associates, far and near, whom will always be remembered with a grateful heart for theirmentorship, friendship, and forbearing forgiveness over the years. Family will receive friends on Friday, 6-8 PM and funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 AM all at HOLLY HILL FUNERAL HOME, 3601 Old Jennings Rd, Middleburg with Dr. Harold Hudson officiating. Interment is at the Holly Hill Memorial Park with full military honors.
