Thomas (“Tom”) W. Miller, of Seabrook Island, South Carolina and Sandgates, Maryland, died on April 26th at the age of 72. Tom is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Carol Dixon Miller, and two children — Jeffrey Miller of Emerald Isle, North Carolina and Gregory (Kouri) Miller of Dunkirk, Maryland. He is also survived by his sister, Laura Dorsey, of Princess Anne, Maryland, and five devoted grandchildren — Grant, Lauren, Meredith and Evan Miller of Dunkirk, Maryland, and Shelby Miller of Crofton, Maryland. Born and raised in Baltimore, Tom was a graduate of Catonsville High School and the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. He served in the U.S. Army for three years and the Army Reserves for 25 years, all while having a long career at Bethlehem Steel in Sparrows Point. After retirement, Tom and Carol spent time in both Seabrook Island and Sandgates; they loved to travel, spend time with their grandchildren, and visit their many friends around the world. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 1st at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 905 Frederick Road, Catonsville, Maryland 21228. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Kiawah-Seabrook Exchange, PMD-J, 130 Gardener Circle, Johns Island, South Carolina 29455.
