Lt. Thomas A. “Tommy” Boger, (U.S. Army) is a 1973 graduate of The
Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Cadet Captain Boger
was the Echo Company Commander his senior year, 1972-1973. He
was a member of several campus organizations including The Junior
Sword Drill, The Bond Volunteers and The Summerall Guards. He
received a B.A. degree in English. His cadet rank included Guidon
Corporal, First Sergeant, and Captain. He was a recipient of the
Commandant’s Distinguished Service Award an … d the
Commandant’s Cup. He was a varsity athlete on the soccer team. He
was a cheerleader and member of the Calliopean Literary Society,
Alpha Phi Omega, and was a Fine Arts Committee member and
chairman. Blue Book Revision Committee, English Club, Association of the United States Army (AUSA), and member of the History Club. He
was the Secretary of the Junior Class. He died in a single vehicle
accident while serving on active duty with the U.S. Army at Fort
Lewis, Washington January 29, 1976. He was a member ofthe Medical
Service Corps. He was of the Christian faith.
