Theodore Jackson Cox, 87, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on October 22nd, 2016. He was born in Cordele, Georgia on October 16th, 1929 to Mizelle Rutland and Theodore Jackson Cox. He attended The Citadel, the Military College of Charleston, South Carolina from Sept. 30th, 1946 to June 10th,1950 and graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Theodore was a proud American. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army from January 1st, 1952 to January 4th, 1955. Later he was a member of the American Legion.Before retirement, Theodore was an engineer for missile labs. He really enjoyed what he did.A passionate and loving man, he will be dearly missed. Theodore is survived by his beloved wife Collette Cox; sister Jeanne Harper; sons: Troy and Mike Cox; Daughters: Janet Lynn Cockriel and Peggy Girard; step-sons: Bennet and Mark Boucher; Step-daughter Monique Tomlinson; grandchildren: Maximillian Girard, Jen Doyle, Russell Cockriel, Philip Cockriel, Alex Boucher, Michelle Boucher, Michael Boucher, Mark and Chad Tomlinson, and Tiffany Blanton; and great-grandchildren: Lilly Boucher, Corbin Boucher, Chris Bradley Jr., Dakoda Doyle, Declan Doyle, Leah Doyle, Chandler Doyle, Corrina Doyle, and Gracie Fonte. A memorial service will be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home on Saturday, November 5th at 1:00 PM.
