Entered into eternal rest on the evening of September 1, 2003, Steven J. Burt. Residence, Charleston, SC. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services in The First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Saturday, September 6, 2003 at one o clock. Burial will be private. Mr. Burt was born September 4, 1953, in Atlanta, GA, the son of Wilfred Smith Burt, Jr. and Dorothy Ann Hill Burt. He graduated from The Citadel in 1975 and received his Masters degree from Middle Tennessee State University. He was a Licensed Professional Counselor. He was a member of The Sons of Confederate Veterans, Corporal of the Guard for the Hunley Honor Guard, and a Confederate re-enactor with the 10thand 25thRegiments. He is survived by his wife Sandra Haigh Burt; two daughters: Kinsey H. Burt and Stephanie H. Burt all of Summerville, SC; one sister: Julia Burt Dubose of Birmingham, AL; one granddaughter: Brielle Kristan Holden of Summerville, SC. His brother Kris A. Burt predeceased him.
