Stevan P. Bodie, 65, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, in Kentucky One Hospital, in Louisville. He was a computer programmer for Wells Fargo in Charlotte, N.C. Stevan was born Oct. 18, 1950, in Newberry, S.C., to Preston Bodie and Dorothy (Vines) Bodie.
He is survived by his wife, Linda (Slavens) Bodie, whom he married April 19, 1975; a daughter, Chelsie Johnson and husband Shawn of West Terre Haute; sons, Brandon Bodie of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Thomas Bodie and wife Barbara of Medina, N.Y.; grandchildren, Kyle, Evan, Destiny, Michael, Tommy, Natashia, Victoria, Theo, Christina, and A.J.; great-grandchildren, Noah, Cole, Abbie, Cadi, and Ocee; a brother, Randall Bodie and wife Diane of Sumter, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Pearl Ramsey and husband Bill, and Marsha Slavens; a brother-in-law, Ralph Slavens; and several nieces and nephews.
Stevan was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was discharged with the rank of 1st lieutenant. He enjoyed playing golf and euchre.
Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, from 4 until 8 p.m., in DeBaun Funeral Homes, Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with funeral services on Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, with Pastor Chris Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery, with military honors provided by the US Air Force.
