Stanley L. Simpson, IV, 50, died Thursday, October 3, 2024.
The Beckley, WVA native was a longtime resident of Savannah. Stanley graduated from Benedictine Military School and The Citadel. He was a transportation manager with Standard Concrete for many years.
Stanley had a great sense of humor, always laughing and telling jokes. He was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are a son, Stanley Lee Simpson, V of Savannah; his parents, Stanley Lee Simpson, III, and Linda Vangysel Simpson of Savannah; sister Megan Simpson Hess (Mitchell) of Alpharetta, GA; brother Joseph M. Simpson (Megan Lokey) of Savannah; nieces and nephews, Lucas and Logan Hess, Benjamin Harper, and Thomas Simpson; and several close relatives outside of Pittsburgh, PA.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
