Stanley Crews Bond, 86, of Beaufort, South Carolina and husband of Sandra Fambrough Bond, died Monday, February 26, 2018, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Born on October 31, 1931, in Augusta, Georgia, he was a son of the late Elizabeth Fair Bond and the late Henry Nicholas Pregnall Bond. Stanley attended Beaufort High School and was a graduate of The Citadel, Class of 1954. After graduating, he served in the United States Army. After his military service he returned to Beaufort where he enjoyed a long career in real estate and running the Credit Bureau. Stanley was active in many areas of the Beaufort community: Past President and Treasurer of the Trustees of the Beaufort College and Past Commodore of the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club. He was very active in The Parish Church of St. Helena where he has been a lifelong member and served on the Vestry and in many other capacities. Stanley loved sailing, tennis, fishing, and all that the Lowcountry offered. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry N. P. Bond. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Fambrough Bond; three children, Dr. Stanley C. Bond, Jr. (Kim), Elizabeth Bond Ray (Danny), and Lawrence Bond; step-daughters, Julie Stone Lorris (Peter) and Heidi Stone Lifrage; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock Thursday evening at the home of Sandra and Stanley Bond. The funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday in The Parish Church of St. Helena. Interment will be in the church cemetery. There will be a reception in the Parish House following the service.
