Entered into eternal rest the morning of Thursday, October 12, 2006, Robert Pinckney Hucks, Jr., widower of Beverly Mae Martin Hucks. Residence, Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Graveside Services in Riverview Memorial Park, Sunday afternoon, October 15, 2006 at two o’clock. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Saturday afternoon from four until six o’clock. Memorials may be made to Carolina Hospice Care, 400 Mill Street, Suite 401. Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Born August 24, 1924 in Ridgeland, South Carolina, Mr. Hucks was the son of Robert Pinckney Hucks, Sr. and Claudia Mae McCollum Hucks. He was a graduate of The Citadel with a degree in Civil Engineering and graduated from USC with a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering. He was a Navy veteran of World War, II and Korea; owner and operator of R. P. Hucks, Inc., and was also an avid reader. Surviving Mr. Hucks are two daughters: Beverly Lynn Grooms and Claudia M. Hucks; two grandchildren: Brian O. Metts and Jennifer Jordan Grooms, all of Moncks Corner and a sister: Marilyn Elaine Moulton of Wayzata, Minnesota.
