Lt. Col/ Ret. Robert John (Bob) Redden Passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009, surrounded by family, after a long courageous fight from complications of cancer. He was born January 28, 1946 in Plattsburgh, New York. Bob was the son of John and Veronica Redden. He graduated from the Citadel, military college of South Carolina in 1968. Bob gave 21 years of distinguished service to the U.S. Army, including tours in Vietnam and Korea. He retired from active duty as Inspector General for the New Mexico State National Guard in 1990. After his retirement, he worked for the State of New Mexico for 15 years. He was the manager of preparedness for the State of New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. Bob is survived by his wife, Susan Nixon Redden of Santa Fe, New Mexico; daughters, Angela R. Foster and her husband, Nevin C. Foster of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Christie R. Do of Denver, Colorado; as well as grandchildren: Weston T. Foster, Paige M. Foster and Parker R. Do; sister, Patricia A. Redden-Sargent of Ogdensburg, New York; and brothers, Richard J Redden and his wife, Marjorie Redden of Anderson, South Carolina and John J. Redden of Chazy Lake, New York.
