Robert Bernard Seabrook, 89, of Fairfield Glade, Tenn., passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Fairfield Glade.
He was born in Charleston, SC, graduated from The Citadel and lived in Florida, New York and California. He worked for Northrop Grumman, Teledyne, and Hughes Aircraft as an aerospace engineer. He retired to Fairfield Glade in 1993 where he enjoyed many wonderful years.
Bob was a member of the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church. He was active in the Lion’s Club for many years where he focused heavily on Kidsight Testing. Bob was an avid bird watcher and had seen over 500 species.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Seabrook of Fairfield Glade; son, Robert “Bernie” Seabrook Jr. (Etna); daughter, Lucy Dunlap (Gary); grandchildren, Kyla Seabrook, Jim Grob; step-grandchildren, Ariel Dunlap and Eric Dunlap. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and five nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister Gertrude Kotnik and brother Richie Seabrook.
Memorial services will be held at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 31, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Lanita Monroe officiating. Interment will be in the Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church Columbarium.
