Robert B. “Bob” Oristano, 86, of Mentor, OH for the past 40 years, and formerly of New York, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Emeritus of Mentor, Mentor, OH. He will be laid to rest in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah, GA. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Bob was born September 4, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY to Louis and Theresa Oristano. He was a 1951 graduate of The Citadel in Charleston, SC and he served in the Army of Occupation in Japan in the Korean War, and he was a retired US Army Reserve Officer. He was a graduate of the Artillery & Guided Missile School and attended the Dept. of Defense Strategic Intelligence School. Bob also held an MIA degree from Columbia University, NY. He retired from the former Chase Brass & Copper Co. in Euclid, OH after filling a number of executive positions in sales, marketing and management. His other business interests were as President of Techstrip, Inc. and he was sole proprietor of RBO Consulting Associates. He also served as a Score Management Counselor. Bob was an active member of St. Bede Catholic Church in Mentor, OH and served in a number of ministries. He was also a life member of the Reserve Officers Association, Past Post Commander of The American Legion, Past President of the North Ohio Citadel Alumni Association, a member of the Cleveland Chapter Columbia University Association, a past member of the Cleveland Council on World Affairs and a colonel in the First Conn. Regt. of Tennessee Volunteers. He is survived by his brother, George Oristano (Dolores), as well as nine nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Caroline Britton Oristano.
