Coach Robert “Bob” Alan Pollock, 60, of Lexington, KY, died Saturday, Feb. 20 in Lexington. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26 at St. Mark United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Clemson, S.C. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. -8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 at Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, 108 Cross Creek Road, Central, S.C. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Born in Rochester, N.Y. a son of the late James Robert and Elsie Wilkinson Pollock, he was a collegiate track coach, a graduate of The Citadel, received his graduate degree from University of Georgia, a former Captain in the U.S. Air Force and a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church, Seneca, S.C. Surviving are his wife, Debbie Moore Haydon of Lexington; a son, John Pollock of St. Simons Island, Ga.; two daughters, Kristen Pollock (J.T.) Thomas of Loris, S.C. and Kathryn Pollock of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Jeff Pollock of Pittsford, N.Y. and a brand new grandson, Thurman.
