NOLTE, Raymond Entered into eternal rest on the morning of September 18, 2007, Raymond Chris Nolte, Sr., widower of Marian Tucker Nolte. Residence, James Island, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Friday, September 21, 2007 at one o’clock in Fort Johnson Baptist Church. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Thursday between six and eight o’clock. Mr. Nolte, Sr., was born June 10, 1935 in Charleston, SC, the son of Frederick C. Nolte, Sr. and May Clauss Nolte. He was a 1952 graduate of Rivers High School and a1956 graduate of The Citadel. He served with the United States Air Force during Korea. He was a retired Civil Engineer with the Southern Division of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Mr. Nolte was a life member of the Charleston Rifle Club, V.F.W. Post #335, American Legion Post #147, and The Citadel Brigadier Club. He is survived by one son: R. Chris Nolte, Jr. of James Island, SC; one brother: Alvin Nolte of Charleston, SC; one step-son: Ricky A. Gaylard and his wife Anne of James Island, SC; two step-daughters: Cheryl G. Creach and her husband Kenneth of North Charleston, SC and Susan M. Gaylard of James Island, SC; daughter-in-law: Sue Gaylard; thirteen grandchildren: Tammy Banerjee, Paul T. Capo, Jr., Timothy S. Capo, Charles Douglas Teachey, Nicholas Paul Gaylard, Jacqueline Kate Gaylard, Gregory Brenner, Brian Brenner, Bryan M. Gaylard, Erin G. Sweat, Lauren A. Gaylard, Megan E. Gaylard and Raymond Chris Nolte, III; eighteen great grandchildren; and a special friend for eleven years, Betty Hunter. He was predeceased by his brother F.
