Phoebe Ann Brown-de Aragón, of Charleston, passed quietly to her heavenly place while resting in her
home. She was the daughter of Thomas Shrine and Frances Brown, but she was raised by her
loving grand parents Florence & AJ Lambert from Kent Street in Mt. Pleasant, SC. She was a
self made woman that strove to excel by educating herself first at Winthrop University with BS
in Education and followed by a completing a Master’s degree at The Citadel. Among her
accomplishments, she was a teacher in the SC public school system, an advertisement sales
professional with WCSC-TV Channel 5 and later with Storer Cable Co., she was also a
weekend DJ for WEZL Radio, and sold insurance for several companies. Lastly she was an
excellent swim instructor and coach for many years in the Lowcountry. Those that knew her
realized that Phoebe would do anything for anyone whether she knew you or not! As such, we
pray that she is at peace.
She is survived by her only son, Francisco Xavier deAragon II.
