On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 6:30 p.m., The Citadel Alumni Association will host the 48th annual Citadel Alumni Legislative Barbecue in the Goodman Building at the State Fairgrounds in Columbia. The barbecue provides alumni and friends of The Citadel an opportunity to express appreciation to the members of the South Carolina General Assembly, the State Constitutional Officers and the Judiciary for their support of the college. To sponsor: citadelalumni.org/bbq LEVELS OF SPONSORSHIP: Supporter: $120.00 – receives four tickets (one person per ticket). Individual Sponsor: $240.00 – receives 8 tickets (one person per ticket). Special recognition will be given at the barbecue.* Sustaining Sponsor: $420.00 – receives 12 tickets (one person per ticket). Special recognition will be given at the barbecue.* Major Donor: $700.00 – receives 20 tickets (one person per ticket). Special recognition will be given at the barbecue to either the sponsor or sponsor’s company.* Contribution to The Citadel Alumni Association Governmental Affairs Committee The barbecue is a means to foster a heightened interest in The Citadel with these state leaders in an atmosphere of fellowship and goodwill. It allows us to celebrate a very rich heritage of service by alumni to the State of South Carolina and to the nation. The barbecue is totally funded by ticket sales and donations by alumni and friends; no college funds or taxpayer money is expended to host this event. To ensure success in future generations, The Citadel needs your continued support. *Sponsorships at the $240 – $700 levels will be recognized at the Legislative Barbecue.

Attending The Citadel vs VMI basketball watch party on January 18 at First Free Coffee in Charlottesville, Va., were VMI alumnus George Foresman, '84; Mauris S. (Mac) Mackenzie, Jr., ’80; and Gregory J. Cooley, Jr., '01.

Brig Gen T. Allen Herritage, USAF, ’97, was promoted to his current rank on January 7 and will serve as director of public affairs with the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
