October 27, 1974: By Dawn's Early Light, an episode of the TV series, Columbo, shot on campus at The Citadel, was first aired.

The Citadel War Memorial was dedicated on October 27, 2017.

Today we remember Author Pat Conroy, '67, on what would have been his 80th birthday.

Today, National Day of the Deployed, which honors United States military personnel deployed around the globe, we are thankful for all of our deployed alumni and the sacrifices they make to protect us!

The Citadel's first Homecoming was held on October 25, 1924, with a football game versus Furman.
