The Citadel Alumni Association Contributes to Scholarships

The Citadel Alumni Association capped off a banner year of giving at its annual membership meeting. The Association will contribute $900,000 to support college operations, CAA legacy cadet and need-based scholarships, and enhance The Citadel’s Service to Country Tuition Scholarships and National Service Room and Board Scholarships for ROTC cadets.

  • Today is National Bourbon Day! Get your Sword and Sash Bourbon from Ironclad Distillery to celebrate!

Sword and Sash is proud to be the first distilled spirit to be licensed by The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina.

For those who have graduated from the Corps of Cadets - whether a year ago or 80 years ago - the memories, both bitter and sweet, last a lifetime. Sword and Sash is the perfect companion to celebrate those memories.

Distilled for The Citadel from Virginia corn, wheat, rye, and malted barley. Aged over two summers in new, charred oak barrels.

  • Citadel graduates volunteered with Allied forces prior to America's entry into World War I, were on the first American convoys that sailed off to war on June 13, 1917, and participated and distinguished themselves in most of the major battles of World War I. 

In all, 316 Citadel graduates served in World War I, 277 as commissioned officers. Six graduates died in the war and 17 were wounded.

  • The Hawaii Citadel Club is active again and rebuilding its network across the islands.

James Jenkins, '16,  has stepped in as the new club lead on Oahu. The club is reconnecting with alumni statewide, from the Class of 1962 to the Class of 2025, and welcomes any grad living in Hawaii, stationed in the islands, PCSing their way, or just passing through.

First gathering is a casual pau hana in Kailua on Friday, June 19. All grads and families are welcome.
