Adjutant General for the state of North Carolina, 1989-1993, he served on active duty and with the NC Army National Guard for 32 years culminating as DCINC and A/J2, USACOM. Among his many awards was the Distinguished Service Medal, Joint Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with V (2), Distinguished Unit Award (5), Combat Infantryman Badge, Airborne Badge and Ranger Tab. Owner of Robb Realty in Raleigh, NC he also served as Assistant Secretary of Crime Control and Public Safety for NC.
