Morgan Brittany Madsen, 29, of Charlotte, NC, passed away November 21, 2017. She was born November 21, 1988. Morgan is survived by her mother Sheryl Danek Madsen and her father Larry Madsen and his wife Margo, her brother Ryan, his wife Tiffany, and their daughters Bailey and Callie, and her brother Colin, his wife Ali, and their daughters Audrey and Nora, her maternal grandparents, Lon and Marilyn Danek, and many more loving family members. As a graduate of Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Psychology, she went on to achieve her Masters Degree in Psychology, Clinical Counseling at the Citadel in Charleston, SC. Following her graduation, she went to work for the Kennedy Center in Goose Creek, SC as a Clinical Counselor II counseling adolescents and their families. Morgan will be remembered for her kind heart and contagious love for life and country music. Her compassionate spirit meant helping people, especially children, was a key part of her life. She had a boundless love for animals especially her dog, Cassey, who was her pride and joy. A Celebration of Life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 101 Colville Rd., Charlotte, NC on February 3, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Animal Assisted Life Services (PAALS) at www.paals.org/donate or you can send a check to 221 Grampian Hills Rd, Columbia, SC 29223. PAALS trains assistance dogs for physical disabilities, autism, and PTSD. All donations made will go toward naming a service dog in training in memory of Morgan.
