Michelle L. Gambrel Scutary, age 45, passed away peacefully to be with The Lord on Monday, January 6, 2020, at Circle of Life in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born April 30, 1974 in Hayward, California to Larry and Judy Gambrel.
She was a 1992 graduate of Ozark High School. She continued her education at the University of Arkansas receiving a degree in History and European Studies and a minor in Italian, including studying abroad for a semester in Turin, Italy. She went on to get her Doctorate in Pharmacy at the University of South Carolina and her MBA at the Citadel. She was employed with Encompass Health as the Pharmacy Director before entering into the Hospital Administration Program in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Michelle truly lived life fully- she had red hair and a personality to match. She could tell a story like no other. Michelle’s life was dedicated to her family, friends, and her career. She was also passionate about mission work for The Lord as she traveled to Nicaragua on a medical missionary trip.
She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Gambrel, and her brother, Larry Gambrel II. Michelle is survived by her two children, whom she adored, Luke (9) and Logan (5), her mother, Judy Gambrel, sister and brother-in-law, Monica and Jeff Fender, niece, Kailey Fender, nephew, Ethan Fender, and her dear friends, Lisa and Ernie Collins, all of Springdale.
Please join us to celebrate and remember Michelle’s life at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 9th in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville. A visitation will begin at 1pm up until service time. Burial will follow at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens in Rogers, Ark.
