Maurice Goslee passed away on Monday, July 21, 2008 at the age of 91. Mr. Goslee was born in Savannah on April 6, 1917, the son of the late Maurice and Ella Goslee. He was a 1933 graduate of Savannah High School afterward attending The Citadel in Charleston, SC. After receiving his formal education, Maurice volunteered for the United States Army. He was stationed in Italy during World War II working with the Army Medical Corps for two years ultimately being Honorably Discharged as a Captain. Maurice worked at the GA Ports Authority where he retired after 22 years of service. He was a Communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Mr. Goslee is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Betty Sloat Goslee; daughters, Clair Phillips and husband Gene, Betty Thomas and husband Joseph, Lynn Gergacs, Gail Dugger and husband Glenn and Kay Williamson and husband Alan, all of Savannah; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
