Marvin Randall “Randy” Poston, 47, of St. Stephen, SC, a registered nurse at Summerville Medical Center, died Friday afternoon in a Moncks Corner hospital. His memorial service will be 2:00 PM Monday afternoon, December 24, 2018, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 PM until the hour of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Waters Edge Great Dane Rescue, PO Box 712, Bonneau, SC 29431. Mr. Poston was born January 1, 1971, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Marvin Edward Poston and Donna Rogers Poston. He was a graduate of Macedonia High School, received his Bachelor’s Degree from The Citadel, and received his Associate’s Degree from Trident Technical College. Mr. Poston was a member of the St. Stephen Christian Church Disciples of Christ, and a lifetime member of The Citadel Alumni Association. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed Stephen King novels. He loved all animals, especially his horse, Alice, and his dogs, but most of all, Mr. Poston loved spending time with his children and watching them play sports and taking them camping in the mountains. Surviving are, his mother of St. Stephen; two daughters, Laurel Poston of Sangaree, and Reagan Poston of St. Stephen; a son, Blaise Poston of Sangaree; a sister, Stephanie P. Dawson and her husband, Christian, of St. Stephen; a niece, Emily Dawson; and two nephews, Brent and Ethan Dawson.
