Martianez VanChin’O Rorie was born on January 22, 1968, in Monroe, North Carolina to Patricia Sturdivant and James Henry Rorie.
He spent his childhood in Knoxville, TN where he attended Rocky Hill Elementary and Bearden High School and made lifelong friends. He was an avid learner, attending The Citadel Military College of South Carolina where he earned his BA and the University of Tennessee, where he received his MBA. From there, Martianez started his career in business at Bank of America and Merck. At every stage of life, he thrived, making an impact through his interactions with people. As a real estate agent, Martianez was able to touch people and share his beliefs of not only home ownership, but kingdom building because he never met a stranger.
More than career or educational goals, Martianez valued a relationship with God. His faith was a part of every aspect of his life, and he encouraged others to have the same. His unique prayer, praise, and worship will not be forgotten.Martianez went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the age of 56. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Robbee Rorie, son Malakhi Rorie, siblings Phillipia (Alvin) Hardin, and Shelly Rorie; his niece Kathryn (Karan) Kataria, grandnephew Kiaan Kataria, and a host of relatives, colleagues, and friends.
