Mark Abney Danehey, Jr., of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on March 29, 2025 after a long illness. Mark was born on July 14, 1945. He was the son of Mark Abney Danehey, Sr. and Agnes Cox Danehey. He was a 1963 graduate of Bishop England High School and a 1967 graduate of the Citadel. Mark is survived by his partner and true love, Madelene Viohl, who added so much to his life and happiness. She lovingly took such great care of him, especially the past two years, and was his angel on Earth. He is also survived by his sister, Alice Danehey Gatch (Jimmy). We will honor Mark’s wishes by not having a Memorial Service or Funeral. We will miss him every day, however we are consoled that he is no longer suffering and is free of pain.
