Amil,Manuel AMIL, MANUEL M.D. Amil, Manuel M.D. Born May 15, 1927 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Died November 26, 2007 surrounded by his family after a valiant struggle with congestive heart failure. Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. A Korean War veteran, Manuel was a graduate of the Citadel in 1947 and Southwestern Medical School in 1951. Manuel was a respected physician in Internal Medicine from 1959 – 1992 when he retired from practice at Kaiser Permanente Medical Group, Harbor City, CA. Manuel was a people person whose medical career was only overshadowed by his love of family and friends. He was deeply loved and will be missed. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Linnea (Linn); son, David Amil and wife, Candice; son, Brent Amil and wife, Allisyn; grandchildren, Tiffany, Craig, and Robert; and great grandchildren, Jacob and Madeline.
