ROUMILLAT, Lorraine Lorraine Johnson Roumillat, Ed. D., 47, of McCrae Dr., Moncks Corner, SC a literacy coach for the Charleston County School District, died Monday in a North Charleston hospital. The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, April 23, 2004 in the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner. Interment will be in Plantation Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, Moncks Corner, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Mrs. Roumillat was born October 8, 1956 in Augusta, GA, a daughter of Milton E. Johnson and Delores Cornille Johnson. She was the former literacy coach for the Berkeley County School district. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Moncks Corner. She received her Bachelors Degree from Winthrop, her masters from the Citadel, and her Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University. She was a member of the International Reading Association, the National Council of Teachers of English, the S.C. Reading Association and the Berkeley Reading Council. Surviving are her husband Leroy N. Roumillat; her mother of Goose Creek; a son, Kyle Austin Roumillat of Moncks Corner; two brothers, Jeffrey A. Johnson of Goose Creek, and Thomas E. Johnson of Moncks Corner.
