Linda Haupt Beaulieu, 69, of Charlotte, NC, passed on to a new life Friday, September 29, 2017, at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte. Born January 3, 1948, in Albany, she was the daughter of the late James Frederick Haupt and Herta Keller Haupt, who will be 100 in January. Mrs. Beaulieu is survived by her husband of 46 years, Donald J. Beaulieu; her son, Bradley L. Beaulieu; her daughter, Tara B. Alcantara; her brother, Frederick L. Haupt; and her granddaughter, Gabrielle M. Beaulieu. She enjoyed seeing several parts of the country while accompanying her husband on his U.S. Air Force tours, earning a special education master of arts in teaching degree from The Citadel, when they were stationed in Charleston, S.C. She later diversified and also earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing, while in Pennsylvania. Her career focus was always in helping people. Even in community service, where she volunteered at a Rape Crisis center and later at the Ronald McDonald House in Charlotte, to help those in need. Her love of young children caused her to branch out into doula services and nanny child care. To satisfy her love of music, she joined the Sweet Adelines acappella chorus. Memorial service to celebrate her life and caring was held on Tuesday, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Charlotte, N.C., where she was a member. A graveside service for the family will be held in Memory Gardens, Albany, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 5.
