Logan, Lamar LOGAN, Lamar Bartlett, 63, a Tampa native, went to be with the Lord February 9, 2005. He is survived by his wife, Connie Logan; son, John Giddings; two daughters, Hillary Logan (Davis) and Leigh Logan (Christenson) of Dallas, Texas; and mother, Sara Bartlett Logan of Tampa. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Trenton and Nicholas Giddings, and Jackson Davis and Milo Logan Christenson; daughter-in-law, Karen Giddings; and sons-in-law, Christopher Davis and Paul Christenson; as well as one niece, Heather Logan; and two nephews, Allen Logan, Jr. and Eric Logan. Lamar was the third generation of the Logan family to own and operate Logan Lumber Co., founded by his grandfather. Lamar graduated from The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., followed by service in the U.S. Army, before joining Logan Lumber Co. in 1966. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday, February 19, 2005, at Blount and Curry Funeral Home, Carrollwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to t he charity of choice.
