Greer Kyle Emerson Rayle, husband of Sylwia Nowosielska Rayle, 28, died Thursday, October 11, 2007. Born in Greenville, he was the son of Betsy Qualls and Emory Rayle. Mr. Rayle was a Lab Tech at Rockwell International and was a member of Woodruff Road Christian Church. He graduated with honors in Physics from The Citadel and served two Tours in Iraq. He was in the 16th Engineering 1st Armored Division in Germany and the 8th Engineering 1st Calvary Division at Fort Hood, Texas. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents are two sisters, Katie Simmons and her husband Doug and Karrie Kinsler and her husband Ted, all of Greer; two nieces; two nephews; a paternal grandfather, Thomas R. Rayle and his wife Anne of Fountain Inn; an aunt, Elaine Stevens of Greensboro, N.C.; and cousin Philip Stevens of Greensboro, N.C. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother. Visitation will be Sunday, October 14, 2007, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007, at 4 p.m. at Woodruff Road Christian Church, located on Bell Drive.
