Kenneth “Ken” Rodney Willingham, 82, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 27, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel. Ken was born March 27, 1939 in Newberry, South Carolina, son of the late Raymond Joe Willingham and Nellie Howard Willingham. Ken was a graduate of the Citadel class of 1961 and served in the Army Corp of Engineers. He became Vice president of Thompson Trucking Company and Wando Concrete. He was Chairman of the SC Trucking Association and a former Deacon of First Baptist Church of Charleston. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay Willingham of Mt. Pleasant, SC; sister, Toni Willingham Warren (Richie) of Newberry, SC; two nieces; three nephews; six grandnieces and nephews; and one great-grandnephew. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Willingham Witt (Hank) and brother, Raymond Howard Willingham.
