HONKANAN, Ken Ken C. Honkanen, 53, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Friday, March 16, 2007. He was a graduate of The University of Indiana, Bloomington and received his Masters from The Citadel. Until recently he practiced as a clinical counselor specializing in the problems of children and young adults. Survivors include his parents Arvid and Claire Honkanen of Signal Mountain, Tennessee, his sister Karen (Sam) Elliott, his nieces Mary Claire Elliott and Sarah Anne Elliott also of Signal Mountain, Tennessee and his special companion Sherry McColl of Mount Pleasant.
