Kenneth Bruce Snowdon passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. He was born in Hillsdale, NJ on August 17, 1922.
He leaves behind the love of his life, Penny. They were married for 68 wonderful years, meeting for the first time on a blind date at the Citadel, the school Kenneth attended. They were married six months later. Everyone said it wouldn’t last, but it was a match made in heaven. Kenneth always said that each of us should go through life thinking positively and to always keep smiling even when it was hard to do. Kenneth accomplished a lot in his life. He served in the Air Force during WWII, was a member of American Legion Post 103 for 10 years and Elk’s Lodge Post 2606 for 30 years. Kenneth enjoyed swimming, diving, tennis and spending time with his friends at Blue Heron Pines.
In addition to his beloved Penny, Kenneth also left behind daughters, Diana Jane Winters and Sherri Lynn Lipski. He was preceded in death by another daughter, Kathleen Ann Ruhl, who died at the age of 49. Survived by grandchildren, Denise Stemple, Edward Bruce Lipski, Kara Snowdon Lipski, Leighann Williamson, Jon Ruhl; and eight great grandchildren. Kenneth was an amazing Husband, Father and friend to all who knew him.
