Keith Kimball Ellmers entered into eternal rest on the morning of November 14, 2008. Keith Ellmers, husband of Janet Mullins Ellmers. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Kimball Ellmers are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Monday, November 17, 2008 at one o’clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. Friends may call at Stuhr’s Downtown Chapel Sunday from four to six o’clock. Keith was born March 15, 1953 in West Point, NY, the son of the late Walter J. Ellmers and Patricia Giegold Ellmers. He graduated from The Citadel and served as a Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm. He was an Electrical Engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and served on The Citadel’s Advisory Board of Electrical Engineers. He was a member of the Solomon Lodge #1 A.F. M. and attended Fort Johnson Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; his mother of Columbia, SC; one daughter: Sarah E. Colvin and her husband Jason of Charleston, SC; two sons: Ryan K. Ellmers and his wife Michelle of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Timothy A. Ellmers of Charleston, SC; one grandson: Ryan Keith Ellmers, Jr.; and one sister: Pam P. Ellmers of Columbia, SC.
